Notes
This model makes a pleasing display piece with a vivid red paint finish throughout and note that this is the later issue with red plastic wheels. Tinplate tank has transfers on both sides and at rear. No dents in the tanker. The lettering at the sides is virtually complete – complete (few small flecks largely confined to the transfer background and as usual to the vulnerable raised ribs). The rear transfer is complete, although note the light crazing to the rear portion.
Bright baseplate and well-shaped original tyres. spare included. Rivet fixing.
Usual tow hook scuff and the occasional tiny mark at a wheel arch or two. Closest scrutiny with magnification reveals a couple of small wheel arch touch-ins, but not visible to the naked eye.
The striped pictorial box with italicised print is complete and bright . Shiny staples. Slight wear/age grubbiness and period pencilled price. Small packing piece is still present too.
