Notes
Issued during 1962, there are several slightly different issues. This is the early version with silver cast wheels and bare metal rollers.
In all original condition, the set comprises:
1) Scammell 6 × 6 Tractor in vivid orange with silver cast wheels including the spare. Perfect ‘LAING’ and ‘Civil Engineering Contractors’ lettering (although a few edge nibbles) on both sides. Silver base. As-new original tyres. Occasional mere dot to the paint finish.
2) Trailer in matching finish with near perfect – complete ‘LAING’ lettering (tiny edge nibble to the transfer background).
3) D9 Caterpillar Tractor in bright yellow with bare metal rollers and one intact original green track, the other has perished. Mere dot to the original paint finish.
Sleeve-style pictorial box is strongly-coloured and complete. Occasional little edge tear. Small scuff to a non-picture side and a little minor age wear besides.
Card insert is clean, fresh and bright and comes with the extra card block with printed details.
