We cannot recall ever offering for sale this particular box type for this model before!
The slightly earlier dual-numbered box (1954) has no product number on the box faces and then of course, the majority of 234 models have the product number in the red oval.
Pleasing original paint finish is strongly-coloured. Complete racing number 5 on one side ( a little marking on the other), bright baseplate with 23H stamped. Well-shaped, original tyres.
Some marks to the paint at the front edge ( so often the case).
The early 234 box with the number in the black oval has little wear and a crisp feel. No tears or graffiti.
