Issued between 1961-64, this is a popular two-part set from the Chipperfield’s Circus range, comprising:
1) Corgi 1121 Circus Crane Truck. Bright red and yellow finish with light blue lettering at the sides. Bright winding cuff is metal, shiny silver boom and strung winch.
Very near mint condition although closest scrutiny finds a couple of discreet touch-ins. Really difficult to spot and may be factory.
2) Corgi 1123 Circus Cage. Matching finish, complete with all blue plastic sliding doors intact. Notably, the amber roof lights are intact (minor marking) and the blue doors are still strongly-coloured. A more difficult find with flat spun wheels in this Gift Set. Red plastic tow bar. All original vivid red finish with barely a mark.
The colourful pictorial lift-off lid box is clean and strongly-coloured. Some rubbing and scuffing, but no seam tears or graffiti.
With 3 packing pieces and Corgi Club Membership Form (never folded).
Still-sealed original bag contains the 2 polar bears. Unapplied Polar Bear transfer. Both Instruction Leaflets, too.
