Spot-on Gift Set 4

Notes

Issued in 1963 and part of the impressive Tri-ang Spot-On range of models, all precisely to 1:42 scale. This scarce Presentation Set comprises four Sports Cars as follows:

i) 104 MGA in deep red original finish, grey seats. Wonderful unfaded finish with a pleasing lustre. Very near mint condition, with intact original screen.

ii) 105 Austin-Healey in lemon finish, grey seats. Very near mint with an intact original screen.

iii) 107 Jaguar XK-SS in British Racing Green, grey interior. Near mint plus condition with a small flake of paint (due to rough casting) on a front wing. A little paint blistering low down on one side.

iv) 108 Triumph TR3a Sports in turquoise finish with pale grey seats. Beautiful finish. Incomplete front number plate. Near mint plus.

The box base is complete and very bright and clean showing minimal handling and careful damp-free storage. Card is crisp and the colours are vivid. Bright and fresh.
All four car containing inserts are in fine condition, although there is a minor tear at adjoining points of the central packing piece.

The box lid has bright vivid colours,although do note it has a discreet repair at a seam and a thin strip of surface loss nearby. Minor rubbing/wear at edges.
