Nicky 113
Nicky/Dinky Toys 113 MGB Sports. PALE METALLIC GREEN version. Very near mint/boxed. Nice box. A first for QDT. Scarce version from The Berlin Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A rare issue finished in a distinctive pale metallic green shade with a matching interior, blue driver, intact steering whee and windscreen. Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels.
No "DINKY TOYS’ on shiny black base, but patent, MGB and product number visible.
Couple of stray deep green dots of paint ad a small casting mark on one side.
The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) is a very pleasing example (for this range). Colourful, clean and crisp – and free of the usual heavy wear that plague these comparatively flimsy boxes. Minor wear and and a small end flap handling tear only.
