D107
Dinky 107 Stripey - The Magic Mini. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce novelty item, complete with all four original figures Card packing piece is included. From The Daylight Collection.
Notes
Originally purchased by the owner from a collector who enjoyed touring toy shops in the mid 60’s & early ’70’s buying models that appealed to him. If he could find a bargain then he would buy multiple examples of the same item. His collection comprises Dinky, Corgi and several Spot-On models.
A delightful item from Dinky made between 1967-68 only, inspired by the comic “Candy”. All original condition. The Mini Minor is in white finish with candy stripes overlaid, jewelled headlights, “CANDY 1” number plates front and rear, bright shaped spun wheels. Well-shaped original tyres.
One of the best examples we have seen in a while!
A few nicks to the delicate stripes (nearly always these models have many more pieces of this delicate transfer missing). All four figures of Candy, Andy and the two Bearandas(!) are in place on the colourful and attractive detailed card display stand with the shop window as the backdrop. This display is in virtually mint condition, with none of the expected wear at wheel slots. Superb example!
The highly decorative, colourful, pictorial outer box is bright, fresh and complete. Vibrant clean colours. Note the as-made blurred print.
Storage crumpling and light wear. Small area of surface loss at an end flap. Remains of a period price label nearby.
Original card packing piece is included, too.
