C405
Corgi 405 Bedford Fire Tender 'Fire Dept'. Near mint plus/boxed. *Rare NON-MECHANICAL version*. Red, split screen, black ladders. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
This is a difficult to find non-mechanical version of the Bedford ‘FIRE DEPT’ Van finished in vibrant red with near perfect-perfect lettering and logo on the sides, black ladders, flat spun wheels, and a divided windscreen.
Shiny base and fine original tyres.
Few little marks to the front bumper and a little mark or two at the rear edge.
The early blue 405 pictorial box is clean and brightly-coloured (a dedicated 405 box was never made for this particular model). Excellent colours and no tears. A little handling/age wear. Faintly pencilled price at an end flap.
Few of these non-mechanical versions were made.
