Notes

A sought-after and scarce Gift Set issued between 1966-68 and only available by Mail Order at the time.
This exciting and colourful set comprises:
1) Corgi 1138 Ford Car Transporter in metallic blue, light blue and very pale green .

Excellent plus with the occasional little chip (mostly confined to the top ramp section). . Note that one of the little horns on the roof has a small section missing. Both wing mirrors are intact and complete with the little mirror pieces too. All four red plastic chocks. Minor corrosion to the base metal parts caused during many years of storage. `Both paper labels at the rear are in place, looking bright and fresh.

2) Corgi 226 Morris Mini Minor in pale lilac blue with a red interior. Shaped spun wheels and well-shaped original tyres. Very near mint with a few tiny marks.

3) Corgi 249 Morris Mini Cooper in red & black with ‘wickerwork’ details. Very near mint with complete wickerwork panels. Lustrous finish and jewelled headlights. Two little marks to the paint finish.

4) Corgi 251 Hillman Imp in metallic bronze. A scarce Corgi model – especially with unbroken suspension! Very near mint with a few little marks. A very vibrant finish!

5) Corgi 252 Rover 2000 in metallic deep plum. Very near mint with a wonderful lustre.

6) Corgi 321 Austin Mini-Cooper in red with roof signatures of Timo Makinen and Paul Easter. Another very desirable Corgi car in very near mint condition! Complete transfers all-round (not even a centre-line rub on the bonnet transfer). All four jewelled lights and no rubbing to the crisp and clean all-important roof signatures. Note the four tiny spots of (we assume) polystyrene which has adhered to one of the door racing numbers.

7) Corgi 440 Ford Cortina Estate in metallic blue. Very near mint example with a few little marks on the roof. Bright chrome (few tiny rubs, if you look closely enough!). Jewelled headlights.

All contents are housed in a polystyrene tray which is very bright and complete (a little storage grubbiness mostly on the base underside). Only the most minor wear. Complete with Corgi label with dog logo still in place ( a little wrinkle).

The colourful card lid has strong colours and no graffiti! Note the original Mail Order LaBel at a lid end. A few small scuffs at this lid end. Light age wear/grubbiness and a couple of small stains, although thankfully any age wear is confined to the box lid sides. No splits, repairs or tears whatsoever.
