Notes
An eye-catching Ford ‘SNCF’ model finished in bright mid-blue with a darker blue tinplate tilt. Complete detailed transfers “Socièté National Des Chemins De Fer Francais” on both sides, black ridged wheels, ‘M’ embossed tyres, bright button-ended axles. 2nd issue with a separate tow hook.
A wonderful model on display.
This example has survived better than most. Pleasing lustre to the all original paint finish. Undented tinplate tilt.
Couple of little marks at a wheel arch and the occasional tiny mark besides.
Never individually boxed, but sold from a shopkeeper’s trade box.
Very difficult to find in any condition. 1951-52.
