This eye-catching Tanker from Dinky has a vivid red finish throughout, without a trace of sunfading. ‘Mobilgas’ lettering on both sides has a few light scratches/tiny marks – but still very nice! Delightful (but delicate) rear ‘Pegasus’ transfer has minor surface marking. This scarce commercial truck has an undented tank and is happily free of the usual crazing to the paint finish on the tanker too.
Late issue with black filler caps and dark blue outlining to the lettering.

20 mph sign. Well-shaped original tyres. Spare stowed. Rivet fixing.
Hard to find a mark to the unfaded red finish, although close inspection under magnification will find a few small touch-ins.
The early dark blue box is complete with excellent strong colours. No tears or repairs. Some of the expected age/handling grubbiness. Bright staples. Dinky re-numbering of this model has been written in black pen one one lid end. Period price in pen too. Complete red U.S. Export Hudson Dobson label at a lid side. Paper label is complete, but note that a crease has been partly disguised with red pen.
Little shelf rubs to the underside of the box base. It is particularly notable that the deep blue base has no colour fading!
