Notes
Rare to come to the market place, this model has been part of the property of a Belgian family from new. Here is a note from the owner:
This model is not mine from the very beginning, but was in the family (all the time by the same person). This person received it as original gift from a British friend at the time when the model was produced. He kept it carefully. He died years ago, and this model became mine.
This is an exceptionally scarce Belgian issue – only the second we have ever offered for sale – and the first with the ’TOURING SECOURS" labels on the box!
An early issue Land Rover’ finished in brilliant yellow, with shiny flat spun wheels. Roof sign has complete *’RADIO’ lettering, intact ‘TS’ logo on both sides of the tin tilt (note the tiny stray piece of transfer on both sides). Original aerial. Tinplate base. Sleek tinplate base, shiny flat spun wheels and fine original tyres.
In virtually mint condition – this is an exceptionally scarce model in exceptional condition!
The pictorial box is complete, clean and bright with both original* ‘TOURING SECOURS’ labels on both sides*. Minor wear to the box including a storage scuff. Early ‘Moorgate’ Corgi Club Membership Form is included.
(Probably), the best surviving example – that you will ever see.
