Slightly later issue (1963-68) with blue plastic sliding doors at ends and middle.
This example is in original condition with an unfaded red and blue paint finish. None of the usual sunfading to the red or rubbing to the blue ‘Chipperfields’ lettering. One of the first plastic sliding doors issues, since this example has flat spun wheels. Intact tow hook and drawbar, and the amber roof glass is intact and unmarked.
Note the age discolouration to the blue plastic sliding doors, and the occasional small mark to the paint finish.
Nice to see that this example comes with an unapplied ‘LIONS’ transfer, printed notice from Corgi and packing card. Lion and Lioness.
Lift-off lid pictorial box is complete and vividly-coloured. No tears or splits. Just a few little scuffs, mostly at edges.
