D100
Dinky 100 Lady Penelope's Fab 1. Near mint plus/boxed. Sought-after early issue - a more difficult find with six-spoked domed wheels. With sealed packet of rocket & harpoons still attached to card plinth. From The Monty Calme Collection.
Notes
A most popular Dinky item, this is the early issue, made during 1967 with pink stripes on the clear sliding roof and presented in the attractive pictorial card box.
The model is in close to mint, original condition, finished in rose pink, with a bright gold interior and both original seated figures of Lady Penelope and Parker.
It has been a while since we have had this particular version with six-spoked domed wheels. Shiny. Well-shaped original tyres.
Just a few very small marks to the paint finish. Note the wear/rubbing to the bumper finish. It comes complete with an intact bonnet emblem, jewelled headlights and front number plate (none at rear).
The car has a rocket and four rear harpoons in the original little unopened plastic bag still stapled to the card inner. Mechanism functions.
The *colourful card stand *is very crisp and bright. Virtually pristine in fact:
Barely any wear at all. Excellent vibrant colours on crisp, clean card. Both end pull-tags are present and without wear. Instructions are on the reverse of the card stand, detailing how to fire the front rocket and rear harpoons:
The pictorial card box is very fine indeed with day-one bright colours on clean, fresh-looking card. No graffiti or wear save for a little tear at the tuck-in part of one large end flap. Better than most!
