The Monty Calme landmark Corgi Collection, covering the width and breadth of Corgi models amassed over decades by an exuberant collector. The Monty Calme collection is a truly astonishing gathering of the best of Corgi models and ephemera, including rare and unique pieces and point of sale items. The largest collection we have ever seen.

Originally sold through us in 2006, from an Austrian collector who had become a friend of Marcel Van Cleemput. We sold this model to ‘Monty Calme’ in 2006.
This wooden Prototype model of the Citroen GS was never put into production. It is finished in lemon with black painted ‘windows’, silver details at door handles, fuel cap. Painted front and rear lights, bumpers.

This prototype was made during 1970 but never went into production. An unique piece of Corgi history. This is an extract from the Austrian Collector’s letter in 2006 which is a general letter of Provenance for the purchaser of his models:
