A popular Corgi set issued between 1966-69, a more difficult find with the graphite grey Cortina Estate model, and notably complete with the rare ‘Opening Tailgate’ sign and card packing.
This set comprises:
1) Corgi 491 Ford Consul Super Estate Car in graphite grey finish with “wood” side panels, suspension on bright shaped spun wheels, jewelled headlights, cream interior and opening tailgate. Bright chrome. As-new supple tyres.
2) Golfer, caddie and trolley; all original and as-new!
Inner card stand has vibrant colours on extremely crisp barely handled card. Pristine.
The outer box is very fresh, bright and complete. Crisp, as-new feel.
Couple of very small, light stains and the remains of a price label on one surface. Penned price at an end flap. Blanked out small circular price label at the other end flap.
Corgi Club Membership Form is included.
Rarely seen with the sign and card wrap-around packing piece included.
