C256
Corgi 256 Volkswagen 1200 in East African Safari Trim with Rhino. Very near mint/boxed with packing piece. RIGHT HAND DRIVE. From a most knowledgeable and enthusiastic collector in South London.
Notes
A shining bright example of this very popular Corgi model. This VW looks very smart indeed with a vivid scarlet finish, bright chrome, jewelled lights. Shaped spun wheels and fine original tyres.
Complete with the detailed Safari label on the bonnet (tiniest wear but no nicks), a complete “NAIROBI” label in the rear window, and intact racing number 18 on both doors. Harder to find right hand drive issue.
The car has “True Scale Steering” when the wheel on the roof is turned. Opening bonnet and boot reveals a detailed engine and ‘luggage’.
Tiny mark to the paint finish. Note the Corgi period accessory labels added ( A.A. , RAC and tax disc).
It comes complete with the original rhino which slots into the inner card stand for display.
The colourful card plinth is very bright, with a detailed backdrop. Crisp.
None of the usual wear and tear to the wheel slots – just a little front edge ‘wrinkle’.
The illustrated card box is complete, bright and feels crisp.Light wear and a small stain on the box under-side edge.
