C471
Corgi 471 Smith's-Karrier Mobile Canteen 'Patates Frites'. Scarce Belgian issue - 1st Corgi export 'special' model. Very near mint/boxed, with model specific leaflet. From 'The New European' Collection.
Notes
A sought-after, scarce Belgian export issue made between 1965-66 only. Easily distinguishable with its ingenious “glowing” Trans-O-Lite lighting, this was the first Corgi ‘special’ export model. What a beauty – in very close to mint condition! Spring suspension on shaped spun wheels, and the chef rotates when the knob on the roof is turned. Perfect “Patates Frites” and “Snack Bar” labels.
The occasional negligible mark.
The pictorial box is crisp, bright and complete. Looking very fresh indeed. Tiny wear only. Complete with the Instruction Leaflet/Corgi Club Membership Form.
An impressive example of this scarce Belgian export variation.
