One of the trio of t.v./broadcasting vehicles made between 1959-65.
This B.B.C. truck presents well with a lustrous deep green and pale grey finish. This model comes complete with the detachable aerial (often they seem to go astray!). Camera man on the roof swivels. More unusual issue with black BBC lettering on the camera. Perfect detailed crest transfers on both sides of the van.
Hard to find a mark to the paint finish. Painstaking scrutiny reveals two or three extra touches of later paint.
Fresh, bright clean box has barely any age wear. Complete with the two packing pieces too.
Precisely dated from May 1959 (Dinky stamp inside the box lid). Very faintly pencilled shopkeeper’s price at one lid end.
