C203
Corgi 203 Vauxhall Velox Saloon. Near mint plus/boxed. Scarce all-yellow version with silver flutes on bonnet. From The 'Monty Calme' Corgi Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1956-61, this Velox in all-yellow is a more difficult find (usual version has a red roof). Flat spun wheels and a bright tinplate baseplate An appealing, original sheen to the paint finish and of course. The eye-catching silver details on the bonnet, radiator and bumpers are all original and gleaming bright.
Little chip on the bonnet and the casting is a little rough in places. Note the period accessory tax disk, ‘running in’ label and number plates applied.
The blue picture box is bright and complete with no tears. Shopkeeper’s price on one box face. Minor handling grubbiness and light wear.
A beautiful early Corgi model on display.
