C647
Original Prototype in brass for Corgi 647 Buck Roger's Starfighter. Another special item from 'The New European' Collection.
Notes
An exceptional collection of prototypes were purchased by ?The New European? Collector, largely originating from two well-documented sources i.e. the auction of the property of Marcel Van Cleemput at Sotheby?s Auction House in 1999 and the Losch Auction House in Germany during 2000.
Pictured in ‘The Great Book of Corgi’ on page 199, this model was sold in The Losch Auction in March 2000, as part of the original property of Marcel Van Cleemput (chief designer for Corgi (1956-83).
Measuring approximately 16.5 cms, this detailed brass Prototype of Corgi 647 Buck Roger’s Starfighter is comprised of 8 separate pieces, enabling one to see the item’s component parts. A little tarnishing as one might expect, but no parts missing. The Buck Roger’s Starfighter model went into production 1980-83.
