C268
Corgi 268 The Green Hornet's 'Black Beauty'. Very near mint/boxed with card packing and rare to find with the greaseproof strip too. With sealed Secret Instructions Packet. Intact suspension and the radiator hinge closes well! From 'The Monty Calme' Corgi Collection.
Notes
An exciting iconic T.V inspired Corgi model – issued between 1968-72. This is a beautiful example in close to mint, all original condition. Beautiful delicate roof logo is intact. Note that the radiator closes securely (often these models are found with the radiator gaping slightly even when closed). Note too that suspension is present on all four wheels (stronger at the front as you might expect, since it is by depressing the rear wheels that the scanners are fired from the boot).
Mark at the boot edge and dulling to the metal lever at the side.
This example comes with the Secret Instruction Packet which has never been opened So inside, expect to find the Instructions, four radar scanners and four missiles.
The very attractive inner card stand has lots of atmospheric graphics. Very bright and fresh state , although there is storage crumpling at one side. Absolutely crisp, bright and clean – just a couple of tiny wheel slot tears.
The outer box is crisp, clean and colourful. Storage crumple. Little end flap tear.
This example comes with the white card packing piece as well as the (nearly always missing) greaseproof strip which protects the delicate roof transfer.
