C267
Corgi 267 Batmobile. Very near mint/boxed. Most sought-after 1st issue, correct without tow hook. With a full Secret Instruction Packet. A sought-after model from The Cheshire Collection.
Notes
This early issue, gloss black Batmobile is in all original condition, complete with all original accessories. Barely a mark to the attractive high gloss original finish. Bright chrome at cockpit and launch tubes. Intact blue tinted glass. Straight aerial. Bat logos on the wheels and complete and bright Bat logos at both sides of the Batmobile. Suspension is rather soft on the rear wheels, absolutely fine on the front wheels. Smooth-running original tyres.
All functions operate well; chain cutter, rocket launcher and pulsating flame. Model has just a couple of marks head-on and another at a rear wing tip.
Inner card plinth is complete, with vivid strong colours and lots of atmospheric artwork!
A few tiny tears at a wheel slot caused by the car and minor wear besides.
The Secret Instruction Packet has been opened (a little crumpled now)- and inside are the Secret Instructions, cloth badge (so often missing), and sprue containing 7 red missiles and 5 loose ones besides. Includes the little extra promotional Features Leaflet issued with some of the early Batmobiles, too. All these accessories are the originals and not later reproduction items. Not often seen complete!
The outer box is bright, clean and complete with lots of vivid artwork. One of the small end flaps has a couple of tiny seam tears and very minor wear besides. Period price label.
Always a sought-after item for the Corgi or t.v. and film collector – this is a wonderful nostalgic piece.
