C268
Corgi 268 The Green Hornet's 'Black Beauty'. Near mint/boxed. Lovely box and card stand. With Secret Instruction Packet, scanners and missiles. From 'The Heart of England' Collection.
Notes
An exciting iconic T.V inspired Corgi model – typically harder to find than the James Bond models available during this period. Issued between 1968-72. This is a beautiful example in close to mint, all original condition. Beautiful delicate roof logo is intact. Note that the radiator closes securely (often these models are found with the radiator gaping slightly even when closed). Note too that suspension is present on all four wheels (stronger at the front as you might expect, since it is by depressing the rear wheels that the scanners are fired from the boot).
The all-important detailed roof transfer is complete and perfect.
The car’s gadgets i.e. front missile and the radar scanner function well.
Little chip on the boot and a little marking head-on.
This example comes with the Secret Instruction Packet (wear and tear). Included are the Instructions, four radar scanners and three missiles.
The very attractive inner card stand has lots of atmospheric graphics. It is in close to shop-fresh condition; absolutely crisp, bright and clean – with no wheel slot tears.
The outer box is an impressive example; crisp, clean and colourful with barely any age wear at all. No tears or graffiti.
