Notes
One of the sought-after Batman Gift Sets, this late version (copyright 1976) is presented in the header-card window box.
The set comprises:
1) Batmobile – with tow hook and both seated figures of Batman and Robin. Bright and original gloss finish, fully functioning and complete with aerial, intact light blue screens. Bright bat labels. Looks barely handled – upon close inspection you may note the the rear wheel suspension is soft.
2) Batboat is the correct later version with plastic fin. Intact blue screens and bright chrome cockpit. Very near mint with just one little chip to the tow ring. Very bright paper labels including the bat labels on the fin. Gold trailer has the correct later whizzwheels. Just one little mark at the tow ring.
Included – Full sprue of original yellow missiles.
Both items are housed in the original and intact polystyrene inner (minor staining and a very minor tear).
Colourful and complete outer box has intact original cellophane. Note the handling wear at end flap seam edges and a little repaired seam tear.
Operating Instructions on this late issue were printed on the underside of the outer box.
