C227
Corgi 227 Morris Mini-Cooper Competition Model. Near mint plus/boxed. Primrose yellow & white issue. More unusual version with YELLOW rather than white bonnet. From a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
A popular Corgi model in primrose yellow finish with a white roof and bonnet, crossed flags on the bonnet. Shaped spun wheels have suspension, racing number 7 on both doors, jewelled headlights. A superb model on display. Note that this is the more unusual version with yellow rather than white bonnet.
Notably, the crossed flags on the bonnet are complete as are the bright racing numbers on the doors. Couple of very small marks at roof edge and a minor mark or two besides. A little rough casting at a headlight rim.
The box is complete and vividly-coloured, with a crisp feel. Corgi Club Membership Form is included. Note the remains of an old label on one non picture side – can be removed if you are patient, we are sure. Resistant end flaps show that this box has rarely been opened.
In all original condition, this is a delightful Mini issued between 1962-65.
