C1143
Corgi 1143 American La France Aerial Rescue Truck. Very near mint/boxed. Red & WHITE issue. With Header Card/Retailer Card & Instruction Leaflet. Exceptional example from a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
A detailed and impressive fire engine from Corgi’s Major Pack range. This articulated fire truck is finished in red and white with yellow ladders, complete with all six firemen and all sections of the telescopic ladder, jewelled headlights, aerial and complete delicate transfers on both sides. Little rub to one of the “American La France” transfers, the other is fine. Certainly, this model has never been played with. Occasional little mark (probably factory assembly) that you have to search for. Complete with all delicate parts intact including the wing mirrors! Detailed cast wheels. Rotating turntable and detachable tractor unit. Bright metal details.
The early light blue and yellow large window box has an original, intact cellophane ‘window’. Card is crisp, clean and fresh-looking with an as-new feel. Gives the impression of unsold old shop stock (tiny wear only). Wonderfully vibrant detailed scene on the box reverse.
Moulded polystyrene inner sleeve is complete and clean apart from one small area where there is a stain.
Notably, this example comes with the* Retailer/header card* – we do not believe that all examples came with one of these, perhaps one in each batch for the shopkeeper to highlight his display.
Instruction Leaflet is included too. Always a sought-after Corgi item!
