What a delightful accessory from Dinky!
Issued between 1960-64, this Service Station makes a superb display piece.
This Service Station Kit comes with the original bag containing 8 metal bars with nuts and 6 short bolts with square nuts (assumed complete).
Finished in attractive blue, red and cream with ‘DINKY TOYS SERVICE STATION’ in bright print. Small nick or two to the cream plastic sign.
The sturdy outer box is complete with no splits.
The deep blue base in particular has barely any of the usual shelf wear and the colour is vibrant. The lid is bright, if rather grubby. There are a couple of flecks of surface loss and a scribble at one short lid end. A little wear besides. Pencilled writing on one side of the lid.
Instructions for assembly are printed on the inside of the lid.
