Notes
Finished in a very attractive shade of French blue, with shiny convex wheels, smooth, original white tyres. 1st issue, so no towing eye on the generally shiny baseplate (small area of ‘spidering’). 24B stamped.
Hard to find a mark. Would benefit form a further careful clean where polish is lodged within the roof detail. Note the little period note from the original collector tucked away inside the model (date June 1956).
The box is complete and brightly-coloured with a very crisp feel. None of the usual edge rubbing. Minor age-handling wear. No graffiti. The history of the model continues with the delightful period shop label from St. Germain Paris on the underside.
