Notes
Issued between 1970-72. In close to mint condition, this Citroen Safari model has in all original white finish with a red roof and tailgate, bright and colourful, detailed Alpine Rescue labels on bonnet and doors. Tiny rub to the letter ‘S’ of ‘RESCUE’ on the bonnet label. The car has detailed cast hubs and suspension on all four wheels. It comes complete with the yellow roof rack containing both poles, sled and skis. Also included are the figure and the St. Bernard dog as well as the original little clear plastic packaging.
Original ‘Corgi Toys’ embossed tyres (one has a slight flat spot). Shiny silver trim is unrubbed. Note the stray flick of factory silver above the passenger-side front wheel arch. Couple of tiny marks to the paint finish.
The window box is complete and bright with all end flaps and notably intact original cellophane. Minor handling wear. On the reverse, there is a very vivid pictorial scene of a rescue taking place. Small area of surface loss at an end flap has been partially covered by a price label.
A sought-after item from Corgi.
