Issued between 1971-75, this is the early version with all those features, missing from the later issues: i.e. coiled spring suspension, wheels with rubber tyres, and jewelled headlights.
This chunky truck is in very close to mint condition with a fresh bright red and yellow finish, red interior. Graphite grey base. Intact wing mirrors with reflective pieces still in place, and a plastic, orange, detachable canopy, grey plastic tow hook.
Little factory assembly marking at headlight rims.
The box is superb – very bright, clean and intensely crisp with strong vivid colours. One set of end flaps carefully prised opened to release the model, the other end has never been opened. Intact original cellophane. Light crease on box reverse.
