Notes

Issued between 1968-74, this 1st issue version contains:
’Zebra-striped Land-Rover with an intact circular ‘LIONS OF LONGLEAT’ label on the bonnet. Opened hatch on the cab roof shows the keeper complete with the (usually missing!) rifle. Shiny cast wheels with suspension.

Just one tiny mark at the rear edge of the roof (probably factory).
Also included is the plastic lion’s den, correct with two male lions, one female lion. All three may be fixed in place with the little sticky pads applied to the polystyrene plinth and den. Three portions of meat and a red barrel are also still present. So the full complement of accessories!
The polystyrene plinth is in pristine condition.
The card box is equally impressive – and a really difficult find in this condition. Crisp, as-new feel to the clean and vibrantly-coloured, undamaged card. Intact smooth original cellophane. Absolutely no wear! Period price label at an end flap.

Notably, this example comes complete with the original and pristine detachable header card/retailer card. *Never fitted into the slots on the box top surface. Original elastic band was found inside the box too.

An attractive Gift Set, and one of the best examples you will ever see. Ridiculously good!
