This collector wanted only the best examples in his collection ? always a discerning buyer of the finest examples he could find. After over 25 years, he has now decided to part with items from his own extensive collection.
This is one of them.

What a beauty! This fine Dinky commercial truck has a deep, lustrous, all original maroon paint finish throughout, and of course, more unusual with red grooved Supertoy wheels.

Precisely dated from August 1955 due to the Dinky stamp inside the box lid. The condition belies its age – there are barely any marks at all on this truck, with just a little mark at flat bed rear corner points. Note the 20 mph sign still in place at one rear wheel arch and there is scarcely any of the usual rubbing to the straight chain post tops. Bright original chain and metal parts too.
This model is in very fine, honest, unplayed-with condition. It is with dismay that we see so many of these classic commercial trucks with retouching and repainting.
Rounded (not dimpled) chain post bosses underneath. 9 black radial tyres (including the spare) all look as-new. This fine Dinky model presents superbly!
The striped Supertoys box is complete, fresh and bright with just a little rubbing and minor grubbiness at edges. No graffiti or splits Correct colour spot is still in place at the box lid end. Delightful period touch – original Simpson-Sears Ltd price label is nearby.
It is not surprising that such a wonderful, barely touched example comes complete with the little card packing piece.
