C474
Corgi 474 Musical Wall's Ice Cream Van. Near mint/boxed. With card packing sleeve and decorative stand. From the Renos Louka Collection.
Notes
A collection some 20 years in the making. Renos Louka from Virginia Water, Surrey specialised in Film & TV models. His interest was due to his occupation of supplying camera and lighting equipment to the film, TV and broadcast industry.
One of the best loved Corgi models, this Ford Thames Ice Cream Van has a shining blue and cream finish with striped awning and decorative trimmings, sliding windows. The decorative labels have been applied.
All labels are complete, save for the "Stop me & buy one’ label on the cab roof. The winding handle, when turned, plays three of the five notes (many of these models are found completely silent!). Suspension is fine on all four wheels. Tyres are well-shaped and run easily.
The occasional minor mark to the paint finish. Bright plated fittings and complete ’Wall’s’ transfers on both sides. Usual slight ‘misting’ to the cab windows.
Nice to see that this example comes with the colourful card stand and card packing sleeve:
The decorative card box is complete with a crisp feel and all end flaps intact. MInor age grubbinesss/wear.
Period pencilled price has largely been erased at an end flap.
