FD823
French Dinky 823 Military G.M.C. Truck. Very, very near mint/boxed. Scarce. With card packing piece and promotional leaflet. From a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
A sought-after item indeed from the French Dinky factory issued between 1969-70 only. This particular example is in virtually mint condition. There are no marks to the paint finish and the transfers and paper label “Liquides Inflammables” are complete. The filler caps on the top of the tank are always susceptible to damage – rarely are they found perfectly intact- this example has perfectly intact filler caps.
Obviously unused, this example comes complete with the spare wheel behind the cab too. Shiny axles and as-new original tyres.
Downgraded from absolutely mint due to minor transparency to the rear label. Minor trace of factory glue at a front wing.
No card plinth, transfers or road sign with this example. However, it does include a close to very clean and unfaded yellow card packing piece (small scuff), along with a promotional leaflet.
The outer box is very fresh, clean and bright. Couple of small tears to the tuck-in part of one large end flap and there is a small puncture on one side which has pressed back into place. Still, a most appealing box!
A scarce model which is becoming increasingly difficult to find.
