D114
Dinky 114 Triumph Spitfire. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce metallic purple version. From The Worcestershire Collection, largely comprising fine, classic sports and racing cars.
Notes
This Spitfire model was issued in various colour finishes with this metallic purple version being the most difficult to find.
An eye-catching Sports car with a vivid gold interior (note the distinct difference between this more fully mounded interior, with cut-away only at the driver’s side, and the interior used for the silver and gold versions where both passenger and driver footwells are cut away).
Lady driver firmly secured in place with an original, most noticeable seat belt (obviously for her own safety!). Issued between 1970-71.
Lovely display piece with a fine lustre. Note the (factory) lightest swish of silver at bonnet front, barely visible over the vibrant purple. Tiny dot or two away from mint.
The box is complete with all end flaps including the serrated strip, but looking a little weary now with some handling wear including a couple of small slit-punctures at an end flap. Silver colour spot.
