C207
Corgi 207 Standard Vanguard III Saloon. Very pale green & red. Scarce with RED ROOF ONLY! Very near mint/boxed (grubby). Complete with early Corgi Club Membership Form. From a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
Issued between 1957-62, this model is in sparkling original condition with a delicate pale green finish and a bright scarlet red roof only. (More often found with red window posts too). Shaped spun wheels. Delightful original rear lights and fine original silver bumpers, radiator and headlights. Beautiful on display! Baseplate design shows that this model was also available as a mechanical version. With a couple of little marks at the rear screen edge and a coupe of minor dots besides. Minor rubbing to the mechanical ‘bulge’ on the base.
Beautiful day-one colours and a superlative lustre. Not even a suggestion of a roof rub!
The blue and yellow pictorial box is complete although rather grubby now. Small start of an end flap tear. Inside, neatly folded, is the correct early ‘Moorgate’ Corgi Club Membership Form.
