Notes
This collector wanted only the best examples in his collection – painstakingly upgrading until he had the best examples he could find. After over 25 years, he has now decided to part with items from his own extensive collection.
This is one of them.
A fine example of this popular racing car made between 1960-62 and a more difficult find with shaped spun wheels.
An all original paint finish, driver, and fine silver exhaust. ‘Vanwall’ lettering is perfect on one side, very nearly so on the other (one small nick). Perfect racing numbers. Supple original tyres run well. Shiny base. Bright axles (including the ends).
A few little marks to the driver (often the case) and very minor marking to the front edge.
The pictorial card box is complete, brightly-coloured with no graffiti. Informative short article on the base on the racing history of the Vanwall.
Very small seam repair and a very small start of an end flap tear. Tiny age wear besides.
