C492
Corgi 492 Volkswagen European Police Car. Very near mint/boxed. With both packing rings and Corgi Club Membership Form. From a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
Issued between 1966-69, this VW Police Car presents so well, with the ‘True Scale Steering’ mechanism working perfectly.
Fresh deep green and white finish, brightest chrome bumpers., light surround and base. Blue light and steering mechanism on the roof.
Complete ‘POLIZEI’ labels on one side (tiny nick in the other) and on the rear window, jewelled headlights.
Tiny partial thickness mark on the roof and a stray dot of (factory) green on a wheel arch.
Note that there are a few factory additional touches of paint at wheel arches etc.
Both packing card rings for the car are present, too.
The pictorial card box is in old shop stock condition. Period price label at an end flap. Clean, fresh and crisp Corgi Club Membership Form is included.
