D919
Dinky 919 Guy Van "Golden Shred". Excellent plus/boxed. From 1957. One of the most eye-catching Dinky Advertising Vans from The Heart of England Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1957-58, the golden age of Dinky! This is one of the most eye-catching Dinky models you can buy and it is always an exciting find. This sought-after van has an original red paint finish throughout and highly decorative transfers on both sides. Note that one side has some rubbing. The other side is much better! Note too that there is some sunfading on one side and head-on.
Bright base and smooth-running original tyres.
Barely a mark to the paint finish – and of course, the Van is notably without retouching (sadly, not often the case with these high profile Vans).
The box is complete, vividly-coloured and intact, with no splits or repairs. Some rubbing and minor grubbiness. Faint period price has been largely erased on the lid. This example os dated from 1957 (Dinky stamp on the inside of the box lid).
