C1126
Corgi 1126 Ecurie Ecosse Racing Car Transporter. Dark metallic blue, raised orange-yellow letering and LIGHT TAN INTERIOR. Near mint plus/boxed. Scarce Instruction Leaflet with DEEP BLUE LETTERING!
Notes
This is the first issue from 1961 in deep metallic blue finish with raised orange-yellow “ECURIE ECOSSE” lettering on both sides. Shaped spun wheels. Light tan interior. Grey base. Original treaded tyres run well.
A great item to display especially with a selection of Corgi racing cars from the same era – this transporter would hold three.
Fine lustre, this example presents well:
Difficult to find mint, since they were popular at the time – a firm favourite for ‘transporting’ Corgi cars around! This model has a few marks/rubs to the paint finish at the top section. Little rub to the original silver trim head-on and a mark on the tailgate. Period Corgi accessory number plates have been added.
Harder to find Instruction Leaflet with deep blue print:
The colourful pictorial box is complete and clean. Some rubbing at edges, and a repaired seam split to the lid. No graffiti.
