Notes
This is a sought-after issue of the classic Fire Engine model with brown ladders, grey tyres. Usual issue has silver ladders. This Commer Fire Engine has a bright red finish (no sunfading!) and both shining bells on the roof.
Bright base has a small lightly tarnished area.
Hard to find a mark – under minute scrutiny a couple of discreet touch-ins may be found.
The early blue box with a picture label is vividly-colored and free of splits. Minor age wear and a small area of surface loss to the paper label (due to the removal of a label at some time).
Issued between 1952-54 under this numbering.
