D451
Dinky 451 Trojan Van 'Dunlop'. Near mint plus/boxed. From a private collection of Dinky and Corgi models, mostly purchased during the early 1980's at U.K. auction houses.
Notes
From the popular range of smaller advertising vans, this ‘Dunlop’ Trojan Van has such a
vivid red finish with an outstanding sheen. Perfect DUNLOP lettering on one side, virtually perfect on the other (tiniest nick).
In all original condition throughout.
The occasional tiny mark may be found if you scrutinise closely, including a stray black mark low down at a front wheel arch. Bright original silver detailing at radiator and bumpers (thankfully free of chips!). Red ridged wheels. Smooth original tyres run well. Bright base.
Obviously a cherished piece that has been carefully handled and stored, so preserving day-one bright colours. Really fresh and crisp box too. Vivid colours. Few little creases and the tiniest start of a tear at an end flap seam.
Issued 1954-57 under this numbering.
