D193
*South African Dinky* 193 Rambler Cross Country Station Wagon. LILAC. Very near mint/boxed. Very rare! Presented in the *correct Arthur E.Harris box*. From a collection of rare Dinky models in the U.K.
Notes
It is always thrilling to find South African Dinky models! They are so difficult to come by, especially in authentic condition and in the correct box. The model colours are always unusual and markedly different from the standard U.K issues too.
This Ramber model is finished in lilac with a vivid red detailed interior, cream steering wheel, shiny spun wheels, clean, smooth-running original, white treaded tyres.
In stunning, all original condition with all delicate parts intact and bright chrome headlights and bumpers. A couple of minor marks away from mint.
The correct South African box is an especially difficult find. Vibrant sharp colours on crisp card, complete with all end flaps (two small end flaps have been re-attached, little tear to another). Note the correct Afrikaans printed in the box on one face and the tiny print Arthur E. Harris (sole distributor), Printed in South Africa on the box underside.
Original period price on the box underside. Period label at an end flap and another little label on the inside of one large end flap.
First example in this colour we have handled.
