CGS40
Corgi Gift Set 40 The Avengers. Very near mint/boxed (slight box wear). With three plastic umbrellas and both figures of John Steed and Emma Peel.
Notes
This attractive Gift Set was inspired by the t.v. show ‘The Avengers’ and issued between 1966-69.
It comprises:
1) John Steed’s Bentley in red and black finish, complete with all parts, and including the figure of John Steed at the wheel. Very near mint condition.
Just a couple of minor marks if you really want to fault it.
2) Emma Peel’s Lotus Elan S2 is in sparkling white finish. Very near mint condition with just one little mark at a front bumper. Suspension on shaped spun wheels. Original figure of Emma Peel.
Correct that this set comes with three plastic umbrellas.
Inner card plinth is complete, with eye-catching graphics on generally bright card. None of the expected tears at wheel slots. Notably both the pull tabs at the ends are present and intact (often torn off or missing). Minor flecks of surface loss on the reverse. Little age grubbiness and light handling wear.
Outer box is complete and bright with a little minor age wear and a couple of very small tears. End flap ruffles. Crease or two. Slight residue where a price label has been removed but no surface loss. A little, faint pencilled numbering at an end flap. Corgi Club Membership Form is included.
