Notes
A fine and original example of this* export issue* made between 1953-54 (later renumbered 981). This Horsebox is cast in aluminium and has a very lustrous deep maroon paint finish with matching wheels, which is close to perfect. Just a few of the usual little marks at the rear opening door. Minor mark or two besides. Complete lettering at both sides and above the cab. Correct that this model does not have horses – only the Newmarket issue (D979) had horses.
Superb display piece.
It comes the attractive early deep blue box with a bright paper label which has a few tiny top edge nibbles. Bright staples. Card packing inserts.
A very nice example of a scarce export model.
