C268
Corgi 268 The Green Hornet's 'Black Beauty'. Very, very near mint/boxed. With pristine sealed Instructions Packet and packing piece. Really crisp, bright box. From The Worcestershire Collection.
Notes
An exciting iconic T.V inspired Corgi model – typically harder to find than the James Bond models available during this period. Issued between 1968-72. This is a beautiful example with a mint paint finish and that includes the intricate, decorative transfer on the roof (which is factory set slightly off-centre). Notably, the chrome covers to the ‘squirt guns’ and radiator grille are bright and untarnished. The all-important detailed roof transfer is complete and perfect.
Suspension is fine on the front wheels, the suspension is a little ‘soft’ on one rear wheel. Downgraded from mint for this. The car ‘sits’ well, however.
This example comes with the Secret Instruction Packet which is pristine and still-sealed!.
The very attractive inner card stand has lots of atmospheric graphics. Very crisp, bright and clean although it does have a tear at two wheel slots and two small tears besides.
The highly decorative outer box is very crisp, clean and colourful with only the most minor age wear. Tiny start of a tear at a small end flap hinge and very minor wear besides.
Nice to see that this example comes with the original card packing piece too!
