D100
Dinky 100 Lady Penelope's Fab 1. Very, very near mint/boxed. Sought-after 1st issue with five stud wheels. Complete with packet of missiles. From The Cheshire Collection.
Notes
Inspired by the Gerry Anderson Thunderbirds T.V. series from the ’60’s. This Fab 1 model is finished in non-fluorescent, rose pink, the earliest issue with the pink stripes on the clear sliding roof.
Gold interior and both original seated figures of Lady Penelope and Parker. It comes complete with an intact bonnet emblem, jewelled headlights and both front and rear number plates. Version with five stud detail wheels. Bright chrome base/bumpers. Tiny mark or two away from mint – none of the usual marks at side raised body lines!
The sliding roof is pefectly intact and slides nicely. The car comes complete with a firing rocket and four rear harpoons (in original clear plastic packet).
An exceptional piece.
The colourful card stand is crisp and bright, although there is some rubbing/creasing/little wheel slot tears to the black card where the car sits (this is a heavy vehicle).
Instructions are on the reverse of the card stand, detailing how to fire the front rocket and rear harpoons.
The pictorial card box is clean and bright with vivid colours.
Very minor wear and a start of a little tear to the tuck-in part of one large end flap.
One of the most sought-after Gerry Anderson inspired Dinky models and this example makes a sensational display piece!
