D100
Dinky 100 Lady Penelope's Fab 1. Very, very near mint/boxed. Sought-after 1st issue. Complete with still-sealed packet of missiles and rare EXPORT LEAFLET in FRENCH and FLEMISH. From The Worcestershire Collection.
Notes
Inspired by the Gerry Anderson Thunderbirds T.V. series from the ’60’s. This Fab 1 model is finished in non-fluorescent pink, the earliest issue with the pink stripes on the clear sliding roof.
Wonderful, mint, rose pink paint finish; just a little tarnishing to the bumpers. Bright, ‘6 spoke’ plated plastic wheels (a more difficult find).
In exceptional condition with none of the usual rub marks or chips at the side raised body line.
Gold interior and both original seated figures of Lady Penelope and Parker. It comes complete with an intact bonnet emblem, jewelled headlights and both front and rear number plates.
The sliding roof is pefectly intact and slides nicely.
The car comes complete with a 2 firing rockets and four rear harpoons (still in sealed packet, factory- stapled to the card stand).
The colourful card stand is crisp and bright, with barely any wear, save for a small tear at one wheel slot where the car sits (this is a heavy vehicle).
Instructions are on the reverse of the card stand, detailing how to fire the front rocket and rear harpoons.
Vibrant as-new colours:
The pictorial card box is exceptionally fresh, clean and bright with vivid colours.
Small raised points to the card where the rear bumpers have come into contact with the small end flaps and a couple of very minor tears to the tuck-in part of one large end flap.
One of the most sought-after Gerry Anderson inspired Dinky models and this export example comes with an extremely scarce Leaflet in both French and Flemish:
