D100
Dinky 100 Lady Penelope's Fab 1. Very near mint/boxed. Sought-after 1st issue. Complete with firing rocket and four harpoons. From The Cheshire Collection
Notes
Inspired by the Gerry Anderson Thunderbirds T.V. series from the ’60’s. This Fab 1 model is finished in non-fluorescent pink, the earliest issue with the pink stripes on the clear sliding roof.
Gold interior and both original seated figures of Lady Penelope and Parker. It comes complete with an intact bonnet emblem, jewelled headlights and both front and rear number plates (minor wear).
The sliding roof is pefectly intact and slides nicely. The car comes complete with a firing rocket and four rear harpoons (originally factory- stapled to the card stand, hence the minor wear to the card stand).
Both the front rocket and the rear harpoons fire well.
In exceptional condition with none of the usual rub marks or chips at the side raised body line. Certainly, one of the nicest examples we have seen in a long while.
The colourful card stand is very crisp and bright. A little wear and tear at wheel slots as you might expect – this is a heavy vehicle!.
Instructions are on the reverse of the card stand, detailing how to fire the front rocket and rear harpoons.
The pictorial card box is clean and bright with vivid colours.
No tears! Hard to find this good. Minor wear only.
One of the most sought-after Gerry Anderson inspired Dinky models!
